Deep Cleaning (Scaling)

Scaling is a periodontal treatment that removes tartar and biofilm from below the gumline—key factors that sustain chronic inflammation. These deposits are the main cause of tooth mobility, gum bleeding and gradual bone loss in periodontitis.

Procedure

The treatment is performed under comfortable local anesthesia. We gently remove subgingival calculus, clean hard-to-reach areas and smooth the root surface.

  • Local anesthesia ensures a completely pain-free experience
  • Thorough removal of subgingival deposits using specialized instruments
  • Root planing to smooth the tooth surface and prevent bacterial reattachment. By eliminating biofilm, we create the conditions for the gums to naturally reattach to the tooth and for inflammation to subside.

If desired, the procedure can also be performed under sedation, ensuring maximum comfort during longer sessions.

Deep Gum Cleaning

Without scaling, inflammation is highly likely to recur. This procedure is a key step in treating periodontitis and forms the foundation for further professional hygiene and gum disease prevention.

Result: Reduced inflammation, controlled bleeding, restoration of natural gum volume and proper preparation for the next stages of treatment, if needed.
