Bite Adjustment in Collaboration with an Orthodontist

Malocclusion is not just an aesthetic concern. Improper tooth alignment often becomes the main cause of joint and muscle overload, leading to discomfort and premature wear of the entire stomatognathic system.

At 88 Medical Club, orthodontic treatment (braces or aligners) begins only after thorough gnathological preparation. Thanks to functional diagnostics, we determine the correct jaw position and only then does the orthodontist start correcting the bite.

When a Gnathology Consultation Is Needed

  • Chronic headaches or jaw pain
  • Overload of the chewing muscles or temporomandibular joint (TMJ)
  • Complex bite issues that cannot be corrected with standard braces alone
  • Breathing or swallowing dysfunctions

Treatment begins with advanced diagnostics. If needed, jaw stabilization is performed using special splints or aligners. Only after achieving functional balance does the active orthodontic correction begin.
