Jaw Disorder Diagnostics (Axiography)

Since jaw movements are invisible during a standard examination, we use digital axiography with Zebris to assess temporomandibular joint (TMJ) function.

How It Works

Special sensors record the individual trajectories of your lower jaw in real time.

This allows us to:

  • Detect even minimal deviations in joint function at an early stage.
  • Accurately assess the condition of the joint disc.
  • Plan treatment that is physiologically correct for your unique anatomy.

The results of axiography serve as the basis for creating precisely fitted splints and future ceramic restorations, ensuring long-lasting durability and optimal comfort.
